Laccent sera mis sur le sys­teme d'autorité et les migratians saisonnières, car c'est a ces deux niveaux, a man avis, que se situe actuellement le probleme de la redéfinition des ashaninca. Les données ethnographiques provien­nent de mes enquêtes sur le terrain effectuées entre 1980 et 1982 dans la vallée de Satipo et, plus parti­culièrement dans le bassin du fleuve Tambo [1981-1982]. Ante la penetración de la economía de mercado, así como la política gubernamental de expoliación de los territorios étnicos, cincuenta grupos indígenas se niegan a ser aplastados por lo que se denomina 'progreso' y 'civilización'. En nuestros tiempos, como en el transcurso de los cuatro siglos anteriores, la readaptación de las estructuras y estrategias locales perseguidas como tal, se ven en la lucha por la reproducción social y étnica. El presente artículo se propone describir las estrategias adoptadas por los campa-asháninca, para hacer frente a los cambios históricos que desafían su estructura social tradicional. El énfasis se pondrá en el sistema de autoridad y en los migrantes estacionarios, pues es en estos dos niveles, en mi opinión, donde reside actualmente el problema de redefinir a los ashaninca. Los datos etnográficos provienen de mis investigaciones de campo realizadas entre 1980 y 1982 en el valle de Satipo y, más particularmente, en la cuenca del río Tambo [1981-1982]. Aparte de ser un tema muy poco investigado, hay abandono relativo de las lenguas originarias que implica la disminución de la transmisión de las creencias y de las músicas. En ese marco, esta investigación tiene por objeto esclarecer la evolución de la relación entre la producción musical, las creencias y la identidad étnica y, paralelamente, revalorizar el patrimonio musical y mitológico de los ashaninka y sus identidades étnicas.
