Contribuyó con la formación de colecciones arqueológicas, custodiadas en el Museo de Arqueología y Antropología de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima-Perú [Yataco Capcha, 2013]. Un estudio relevante es su tesis doctoral donde analizó las evidencias arqueológicas de los Valles de Casma, Huarmey y Fortaleza, sustentada en Rusia bajo la metodología Marxista [Tabío Palma, 1969].  // Formó una fraterna amistad con un grupo de notables investigadores entre los que se destacan Arturo Jiménez Borja, Hans Horkheimer, Jorge Muelle, Francisco Iriarte y Félix Caycho; empero fue con Duccio Bonavia con quien compartió una estrecha amistad. Una serie de cartas han sido divulgadas ente estos dos académicos y demuestran su camaradería y compromiso científico con la arqueología peruana y cubana [Yataco Capcha &amp; Hernández de Lara, 2013].  Cuadernos de campo y documentación que pertenezcan a este arqueólogo cubano son inéditos tanto en Cuba como en el Perú.
