García se entregó a la difusión de esta nueva tendencia que apostaba por una escuela moderna, con nuevos paradigmas que definan nuevos roles en el proceso educativo [maestro, niño, contexto social, aula...]. Su libro "La educación del niño", contiene una evidente intención reformista que busca acercar a la escuela a la sociedad, con un nuevo enfoque asignando a la familia, en la que el papel de la mujer madre y educadora no agota su realización como mujer en el ámbito social.
