Service. El objetivo es valorar el significado de estas actividades en el seno de las distintas sociedades estudiadas, el papel que juegan como actividad de aprendizaje dentro de la propia cultura, determinar qué juegos y qué juguetes son los más característicos en cada cultura, y finalmente de qué manera la organización social y cultural de estos pueblos determina el tipo de juguetes o juegos que los niños practican. Para ello partimos de la consideración del juguete como objeto que ha transitado desde su significado utilitario, a su estatus como objeto artístico conservado en museos de corte antropológico. Hemos empleado para este fin el análisis de fuentes bibliográficas, en particular históricas, como diarios de viaje, y arqueológicas, así como el análisis y estudio de diferentes piezas museológicas.
